Just looked at my water pump to see that plate that pushed out. Mine has a bolt on cover not pressed deal like yours. Im running f body pump with custom spacers to make up for motor plate and truck spacing.

Hey Dane, something else I had ran across in the LS world of knowledge on the web, was the fact that freeze/frost/core plugs in the factory aluminum heads were popping out when using power adders and some people even having it happen on stock applications. Seen it several times, tons of people have said only when pressurizing the coolant system by lifting a head or popping a gasket, others have Data logs showing the coolant system never showed excessive pressure, but still pushed out a plug. I kinda figure the same as stated about the water pump, steel plugs and aluminum heads are gonna heat up at different rates, so I said screw it and spent the money on a retainer kit to eliminate that crap from ever happening. I feel spending around $60.00 to hopefully prevent it from happening would be better than not taken any steps at all. I have a video about them on my page, but wasn't gonna drop a link unless you requested it. You might wanna do some research about it.
